Croatia's Best Beaches: "Sand like the Baltic Sea, water like the tropics"

A list of the best beaches in Croatia was prepared by Travelist magazine.
Kraljičina Plaža in NinZadar is accessible from many Polish cities. About 15 km from Zadar, you'll find the longest sandy beach in Croatia. "The sand is like the Baltic Sea, the water is like the tropics, and the views of the Velebit mountain range are typical of the Balkans. It's no wonder that the first Croatian king, Tomislav, reportedly vacationed here, and his wife was particularly fond of the beach – hence the name Queen's Beach," we read. The American Travel Channel included it on its list of the 100 most beautiful beaches in the world.
Even if you don't come to Croatia by car, you can get to Nin with a group of friends or family by taxi or bus from Zadar.
Sakarun Beach, Dugi Otok IslandDugi Otok is a popular destination by boat or ferry from Zadar (the journey takes about 20 minutes). Here, you can swim in the salt lake, admire the impressive cliffs, and even feel like you're in the Caribbean. The 800-meter-long Sakarun Beach is located on the northwest side of the island. A pine grove provides ample shade during the hottest days, and several atmospheric bars create a Caribbean atmosphere.
One of the few sandy beaches on the Istrian peninsula, it's a perfect destination for families with children who can't imagine a vacation without attractions. Everyone will find something for themselves here – kids can enjoy inflatable obstacle courses, trampolines, playgrounds, and entertainment programs, while sports and water equipment rentals are available. Numerous bars, pubs, and stalls are just a short walk away. The water is shallow, and the entrance is gentle and safe.
Zlatni Rat, Brač IslandYou might have seen this beach before you even arrived. Due to its unique shape, it appears on the covers of most catalogs advertising Croatia. Zlatni Rat is constantly changing – depending on the current wind direction and intensity, as well as sea currents – making the shots from each subsequent visit truly unique.
